It provides social, spiritual and educational services to the Muslims of Cape Breton Island.
The community is very new as most of the individuals are Doctors and Medical Students at the University of Cape Breton. There are approximately 40 families that comprise the community. The Centre opens for five times daily prayers, and has regular Friday prayer, and prayers during Ramadan (Taraveh). Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha prayers followed by breakfast for everyone, and Eid dinners. CPMS has Sunday Islamic school for the children age 4- 12. |
