My ExperienceI arrived in Fredericton in the early hours of the morning for the morning prayer. The mosque is located just in front of the Saint John River. There were five students who attended the morning prayer from the University of New Brunswick. I had told them about the Great Canadian Mosque Trip and they were pleased. As it turns out, they were all international students from the Middle East studying Computer Science and Engineering and wanted to learn more about Canada. Apparently the city thrives on the University of New Brunswick and most of the community stems from Academia.
One of the students who was originally from Saudi Arabia decided to stay back and keep me company as I took photos and videos while the others went home to go back to bed and spend time with their families. Many of the students were married and came with their wives and were even starting their families here. I was shown around the mosque and when I was done I was invited to be shown around Fredericton. I didn't want to inconvenience my host but also was grateful for this offer. We started by going to Tim Horton's for breakfast... Coming soon! |
